Quantum networking is advancing rapidly as researchers and technology companies work toward building highly secure communication networks for future digital infrastructure. Unlike traditional networking, quantum networks use the principles of quantum mechanics to exchange information, making data transmission significantly more resistant to interception and cyber threats.

Governments, universities, and private technology firms are investing in quantum communication projects to support secure financial transactions, national infrastructure, healthcare systems, and scientific research. Early pilot networks have demonstrated the potential for quantum key distribution, enabling organisations to exchange encryption keys with an unprecedented level of security.
