The pandemic threw our personal lives into chaos, and in myriad situations disconnected workforces from their places of work. Digital transformation became mandatory to stay open, to stay connected, to stay competitive. The notion of a fully connected worker is similarly evolving. Frankly, it is becoming mainstream, prompted in great part by young workers who excel in a connected industrial environment. In the not-too-distant future, the fully connected, digitally empowered industrial worker will be the norm. And the alignment between process and outcome will be not only simplified, but optimized.
